4.1 Drainage Infrastructure
The Noosa Council is the responsible authority for drainage facilities for the site. The lawful point of
discharge for the site is the environmental reserve located approximately 150 m from the
southern boundary on Lot 5 SP222982. Flows leaving the site will drain south along the eastern side of the
site towards a gully before discharging into a drainage easement through a 1200 mm X 300 mm RCBC
under Hofmann Drive. These flows will continue to travel south for another 85 metres and then cross the
road using the existing 4 X 1200 mm X 600 mm RCBCs and into another drainage easement. Finally, flows
will then travel within this easement, until ultimately reaching the legal point of discharge through a large set
of 4 X 2400 mm X 800 mm RCBCs. Existing site drainage is shown in Figure 4-1. It is noted that the
1200 mm X 300 mm RCBC is not shown in the Noosa Council Mapping.

Increases in impervious area within the proposed development have resulted in an increase in local
catchment stormwater discharges. A rainwater detention tank of minimum volume 1,500m 3 is proposed to
maintain peak stormwater discharges to values equal to or less than existing conditions.
The proposed stormwater quality treatment for the site consists of Ocean Guards (OG) on all inlets, two
Jellyfish (JF) treatment systems and three rainwater tanks of 50kL, 25kL and 2kL respectively in volume.
Refer to the Integrated Water Management Plan by Cardno report for details.
