You are advised that:
This Further Advice letter is the final advice Council Officers will be asking for the proposal to comply with the Noosa Plan. If not addressed adequately through this process, the proposal may not be supported.
Issue – Vegetation Clearing
The extent of vegetation within the Biodiversity, Waterways and Wetlands overlay proposed to be cleared is not acceptable.
The findings of the arborist report have not been adopted, numerous trees have been identified as having the potential to be retained with minimal remedial care.  It is unclear why 492 square metres is required to be disturbed for a water tank and Secondary Dwelling which is 52.4 square metres.
Advice Required
Confirm what the methodology is for clearing 492 metres square of vegetation, i.e. for bushfire protection. If so, how was it determined without having carried out a Bushfire Attack Level Assessment (BAL).
Relocate the water tanks associated with the Secondary Dwelling to limit the extent of vegetation required to be cleared.
