If future building development on the site is to be fully suspended founding beneath the ‘uncontrolled’
filling and into natural soils using a deep foundation system and suspended slab, the existing
uncontrolled filling could be left in place not requiring any further works to reduce potential surface
movement. The deep foundation system should be design in accordance with AS 2159-2009 “Piling —
  Design and Installation’,

However, if slab on-ground or pavement construction is required, remove all ‘uncontrolled’ filling and
sort to remove unsuitable materials and reinstate the excavation with the ‘clean’ sorted filling
compacted in layers under ‘Level 1’ inspection and testing. This approach would allow for building
loads to supported on high level footings founded in the new ‘controlled’ engineered filling.

All earthworks should be carried out in accordance with AS 3798-2007 “Guidelines on Earthworks for
Commercial and Residential Developments”. The above procedures will require geotechnical
inspection and testing services to be employed during construction. DP is suitably qualified to conduct
earthworks inspection and testing services that will be required during any earthworks construction.

Provided future development on the site is undertaken using the above recommendations along with
good engineering practice, the site would be considered stable for the intended purpose.

It is recommended that prior to the finalisation of the specifics of any future development on the site,
the proposed details of that development should be checked by DP to check against the
recommendations made in this report and to confirm that the proposed development conforms with
  these recommendations.

We trust that the above is satisfactory for your current needs. Should you have any questions or
require any further clarification on this matter, please contact the undersigned at our Sunshine Coast
  office.

  Yours faithfully
