Proposed Car Wash Cooroy

As residents of the Opal Street/Lane we oppose the car wash being
Built at that site.

We see that congestion would be our major concern.

School and local bus services dropping off and picking up both children and public using this very limited space as well as general commuters..we know that there are busier times generally mornings and afternoons,  that this area is in itself is difficult to negotiate at that time and most drivers are NOT travelling at the given speed limit of 50mph.

There's no SAFE Pedestrian Crossing to cross, every day we walk, mothers pushing prams with children in hand, students, elderly citizens jaywalking all trying to get over into our town,   that's stressful.

Imagine larger RV's like ours, Trucks etc all trying to negotiate turning into Opal Street as well as drivers trying to get fuelled up.

We are a RV Friendly Town..but the proposed site is NOT the right address.

We have Caravans that use Diamond Street, Kauri and Opal streets to walk into town leaving their RV's on the East side.. we could see queues of Vans parking along Opal Street to wait to wash their vans. We have young families living in our neighbourhood.

"Beggers Belief"

The most likely and obvious site would be at the "Proposed Service Station" up high on Holts road where everyone can catch a glimpse of the CARWASH RV signage the whole Motorway would see. Plenty of passers by and locals and space to negotiate getting in and around without congestion.

WASH & FUEL UP at the same time.

Our other concern is :
Noise pollution from the power washers, vacuums, loud music at later times of the day as well as general Train, bus, Cars noise....and operating hours ?

We don't need a Car wash in Opal street BUT one would be handy cos we have a Large Caravan...
