I am writing to you in relation to the above application.

I reside at 428 old Ceylon Rd Ridgewood.

I chose to live in this area because of the serenity of the countryside, low traffic noise, clean air and lack of pollutants in waterways.

I have read most of the information available to me on PD Online on your website.

I hold grave concerns for the local area if this application were to be successful. Initially I am cynical but not surprised at the process of this application, the lack of due consultation with the local community and the grossly inaccurate projections in relation to the points analysed by Rod Ritchie in his submissions.

More specifically:

1. Incorrect number of trees. It is obvious this was not a serious avacado farm.

2. Inaccurate figures relating to nitrogen generation.

3.Waste disposal. The atrition rate (deaths) in these intensive operations are well documented.

4. No of trucks and increased traffic loads. This point is massive and I see it as potentially the most dangerous and disruptive impact.

The environment in this area is topographically totally inappropriate for a development of this nature. It is at odds with the ethos and integrity of the things we hold dear in the Noosa biosphere.

I would say at this point I regularly walk along Top Forestry Rd in the mornings and have NEVER seen an Application notice for Material Change of Use anywhere along that road. I would suggest , no such advertising has been done or at least not adequate enough, given the potential impact a development such as is proposed would have on our local community.

This obvious "neglect" along with the obvious misleading material in the application tells me this person is acting from a purely self interested basis and has no care or concern for the impacts this development will have on the area.

I would implore council to act in the interests of the community and not one self interested individual.

Yours faithfully and in trust that common sense and care for community will prevail,

Libby Murphy

Warm regards,

Libby Murphy
