REPORT
The purpose of this report is to address some technical requirements in relation to Council’s
compliance with the Local Government Regulation 2012.
1 COUNCIL COMMITTEES
At the Post Election meeting on 5 April 2016, Council established a number of Standing
Committees. These Committees do not have the power to make decisions - their sole purpose is
to consider issues and make recommendations to Council for consideration at its monthly
Ordinary meeting. The final decision on all items is made by the full Council at its Ordinary
meeting.
The way in which we currently operate our Committees is not in strict compliance with the Local
Government Regulation.
