RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Property Advisor to the Services & Organisation Committee
Meeting dated 7 March 2017 and proceed to an Expression of Interest process for activation of
the Lower Mill site (Lot 5 SP213104) using the Expression of Interest Criteria and Assessment
Criteria as set out in the report.

REPORT
Council owns freehold land on Cooroy’s Lower Mill Road known as the Lower Mill Site, Lot 5
SP213104. The site houses community groups, including the Cooroora Woodworkers and
Sunshine Coast Camphor Laurel Timber Initiative, but also contains areas of open space, being
a riparian area along Cooroy Creek to the south and vacant industrial zoned land to the north of
the lot (refer figures 1 - 3 below).
