I am writing to support the application by Rickys River Bar & Restaurant, Wood Fire Grill and Rock Salt for continued use of the areas in front of their businesses.

 

I am an owner of a resort unit at Sun Lagoon Resort, 1 Quamby Place, Noosa Heads, which has the benefit of being right across the road from this restaurant precinct.

 

Whenever we visit Noosa we always get a lot of pleasure from being able to enjoy the outdoor dining at these three restaurants.  For the resort guests that stay at our unit at other times, having the convenience of these three restaurants offering alfresco dining in the Noosa environment is a real drawcard.

 

In addition, Ricky’s, Rock Salt and now Wood Fire Grill are well known and frequented by all tourists and residents of Noosa, so they add value to Noosa’s brand as a top tourist destination.

 

The restaurants do not use much of the park, so the park is still available for other uses, while at the same time providing a pleasant context for diners.  Many diners like the opportunity to watch their children play at the park playground while the adults enjoy the outdoor restaurant meal.

 

The outdoor dining brings no additional traffic.  There is adequate parking and many of the patrons of the restaurants walk from all the nearby resorts and come by ferry.

 

Very recently, we decided to move to Noosa permanently.  The fine outdoor dining at Ricky’s, Wood Fire Grill and Rock Salt are among the reasons we made the decision to become residents of Noosa.
