collaboratively with external stakeholders to develop innovative local solutions to
regional unemployment. Council should promote and encourage a more

chains. Development of Noosa's own complementary currency or local system of
exchange similar to the Bristol pound to support a shop local message.

hubs and working spaces. New plan needs to be flexible to allow for start-up small

more busking/music events.
3, 46, 61, 111, 191, Need to buy and renovate TAFE building to offer an alternative to Uni. Old Noosa
191 TAFE should be utilised for trade training and revamp or language school.
46, 59 Encourage education facilities including Tech industries. Tertiary education
opportunities for the Noosa Shire.
161 More incentives for a more diverse sustainable economy (clean energy,
sustainable food production, education, arts, etc.) and not just tourism.
162 More educational institutions where we can offer employment! Language
schools, environmental studies, high tech companies, sophisticated designer and
marketing industry studies. We need small, inventive business friendly
environment where young people can try their fresh ideas and of course the big E!
