PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 12 DECEMBER 2017

5. CONCLUSION & REASONS FOR DECISION
The proposed sign does not comply and cannot be conditioned to comply with the Overall
Outcomes of the superseded Advertising Devices Code (2013) and is recommended for refusal.
Any additional illuminated pylon signs or additional signage will be in conflict with Specific
Outcomes O1 & O6 and does not comply with the Overall Outcomes of the superseded Code.
The location of the proposed sign is prominent on a roundabout where 2 major roads intersect.
The intent of this part of the site is for the vegetation to mature and be the dominant feature.
Further, there are no other examples in the Noosa Shire of an illuminated pylon sign advertising
multiple tenancies.
