4. Feedback
There were many very positive comments and emails from individuals saying they enjoyed the
workshops and information sessions. After speaking with a large amount of people it was
discovered that a very low percentage of residents knew that aerosol cans could be recycled.
Planet Ark and Clean-up Australia documented similar results. The outdoor movie received many
thanks from individuals that attended. Lots of people said they thought it was good that Council
was engaging with the community and were glad to see so many things happening. Over 1 tonne
of E-Waste was collected at Bunnings on the Saturday. Specifically, the below comments were
received.
‘The landfill tour was very informative and makes me think about everything (which is not
much) I put into my rubbish bin’ – Julie, Landfill Tour
‘I learned a lot on the landfill tour. Never was sure what to do with bottle caps, or scrunchy
plastics. It is a tour that I can recommend to others too!’ - Chris, Landfill Tour
‘Excellent presentation & presenter, learnt so much – thank you’ – Composting/growing
food workshop Noosa Library
‘Very informative, hands on. I will implement the things I have learnt’ - Composting/growing
food workshop Noosa Library
‘We were there it was really good. Kids had a lot of happy time, thank you. We will keep an
eye on your next events’ - Kanittha (NC Facebook Page Comment - Outdoor Movie)
