Attachment 4 - Treee Management Plan_V1
Plans and drawings: the text below has words only, no drawings.
On the northern to eastern aspect of the site is an existing break in the vegetation that
separates the Girraween Nature Refuge bushland and the site. As part of previous approvals,
Noosa Council gave consent to clear all but the Black Sheoak trees to create a firebreak.
These works were not completed and are now proposed as part of these project works.
A review of the Black Sheoak trees was undertaken as part of this Arborist Assessment. A
separate tree plot plan was provided by Woollam illustrating the Black Sheoaks within the
Firebreak. Table 1 below highlights the observations noted during the site inspection and the
current retention status for these trees. Please note that the number sequencing is not always
continuous, and trees not reflected in the following table are deemed suitable to be retained
at this time.
The status of the remaining young trees at the southern end of the site is questionable. It is
difficult to determine which tree is which on site and their long-term suitability for retention is
questionable with natural fails anticipated in coming years.
