Bounce Hostel Management and Staff will be responsible for collection and disposal of refuse to the
designated bin and recycling areas located on the site plan. All bins are to be stored and located in the bin
area.
The site manager is responsible for recycling and waste education with the objective of waste minimisation
and re-use of waste.
3.1 Waste Storage and Recycling Area
The waste storage and recycling areas are located within a screened and sealed enclosure. The bin area
will be constructed in accordance with Council Planning Scheme Policy 09 – Waste Management and
includes a bunded area (no more than 100mm in height) for bin washing, which is drained to the sewer.
The type of waste and storage required are:
a) bins for putrescible waste; and
b) bins for recyclables.
Sufficient space will be provided between waste storage bins to allow for manoeuvring and washing of bins,
where appropriate. Access to the bin enclosure is via the lockable access gate.
Servicing of bins will be undertaken with bins placed onto Mary Street for collection. This operational
outcome is the result of discussions undertaken with Noosa Councils Waste Staff at a meeting held on
17/08/18
