A noosa council ratepayer for the past 27 years, I still live across the blackfellow creek on jorgensens rd from this proposal today. Unlike other residents who are opposed to this change of land use I am willing to put in writing that this proposal is just plain wrong on so many levels. 1. Currently there are no factory farms in the area and a precedent should not be set by you now. 2. Dust is a wider issue as there is no town water in the area, therefore, rainfall off roofs is used as drinking water. Airborne pathogens cannot be ruled out. It is a high wind area and living on a ridge line means I will indeed breath in the air as the wind picks up the chicken waste dust. 3. Rural residential is what the area is zoned not factory farming. 4. As a long time local I have not needed to go into factory farming to survive and neither does anyone else on the land. In this day and age it is inconceivable that anyone would even think about setting up a boiler farm anywhere in this area so close to so many residential properties. 5. Wildlife will be affected by this proposal as it will put stress surely on our local koala population. Trucks, increased predator numbers will be a sad final blow to koalas here in the noosa council area. 6. Roads. Top forestry rd is a dirt road hardly suitable for cars let alone trucks. The two exits from top forestry do not get any better either. Winding steep narrow dirt is the only alternate to straight through cooroy township. 7. Odour. The odour from this farm will be a new uninvited unpleasant addition to the scenic drive so many tourists and locals take along cooroy belli creek road. 8. I am all for a couple of local jobs but not at such a high cost to the community, tourists and noosa's reputation. 9. Innovation and a clean green image is what I believe the noosa region has fought so hard to achieve. Organic farming is the way of the future not creating the sad old dated cruel past with factory farming. No boiler farm for cooroy. Not here not now not ever. I request my local council to stop this proposal for a boiler farm at cooroy now. Thank you E. Elliott 123 Jorgensens rd ridge wood qld 4563 Sent from my iPad
