Dear councillors, I refer to the application to construct 195 room resort complex at Settlers Cove. I voice my concerns about an approval for such a huge resort on a relatively small, but very important, parcel of land. The nearby streets are already choked, and the narrow access roads would create havoc with additional vehicles accessing the site. Parking anywhere in Noosa Heads is an absolute lottery, and adding another 250 vehicles in that area is creating more problems. Presumably, all visitors and guests, (and staff) at the resort would need vehicles, as its too far from amenities to walk. The noise levels from a huge resort would also be disturbing for the local residents, your ratepayers. Please do not approve this application. Noosa will lose its attraction and “livability” if huge complexes such as this are approved. Thank you, Coral Parkinson Noosa resident and ratepayer for 46 years.
