                        term solution.
                     3. Terry Byrne from TMR advised that Splitter Island
should remain to stop people leaving school at the
                        southern entrance point.

2.8 Duke / Ferguson Street, Sunshine Beach
                                                                                  Council Scott

            configuration to make safer

            Result
                     1. N.Walker advised that plans are being worked on by
                        Council to address safety concerns.

3. New business

3.1 Cooroy Noosa Road, Cooroy Council Nigel

Issue: Customer and Councillor request to extend 60km/hr
speed limit from Cooroy to Swift Drive Intersection.

            Result
                     1. Work Order 4023 – community should talk to DTMR
direct. As request is from Cr Bolton, Nigel to write to
                        DTMR asking for an investigation.

3.2 Edward St / Pacific Avenue Intersection, Sunshine Beach Council Nigel

Issue: Customer request to address seagull intersection
which has high accident crash rate.

            Result
               1. QPS confirmed that this intersection in recent years did
not rate high in terms of accident severity.
               2. N.Walker confirmed that this intersection was previously
considered and received ‘Black Spot funding’. Due to
amalgamation of Councils a decision was made to not
                   proceed with the intersection upgrade.
               3. Leanne Stokes from TMR confirmed that accidents are
usually angle accidents. Suggestion most appropriate
short term solution would be to extend seagull island in
northbound direction. Long term solution would be a
roundabout. This option would need to be investigated
                   further based on previous planning.

3.3 Werin St / Poinciana Roundabout , Tewantin QF&RS All note

Issue: Concern over drivers cutting lane lines on
            straightthrough movement heading westbound.
