EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Not applicable.

RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Manager Asset Planning to the Infrastructure & Services
Committee Meeting dated 17 June 2014 and repeal the Councillor Emergent Capital Works &
Minor Operational Works Policy that transferred to the Noosa Council from the Sunshine Coast
Regional Council under the Local Government (De-amalgamation Implementation) Regulation.


REPORT
The Councillor Emergent Capital Works & Minor Operational Works Policy carried forward to the
Noosa Council from the Sunshine Coast Council and is still in effect. Noosa Council should
repeal this policy as it has adopted the capital works framework at the Ordinary Meeting dated 6
March 2014. This report recommends Council repeal the existing Councillor Emergent Capital
Works & Minor Operational Works Policy. A copy of the policy is included as Attachment 1.

Previous Council Consideration

Council’s previous consideration of this matter was in adopting the capital works framework for
Noosa Council.

Finance & Risk

Nil. Council will still be in a position to raise emergent capital and operational projects through
the adopted capital works framework.

External Consultation - Community & Stakeholder

Nil.

Internal Consultation

There was previous consultation with the Leadership Team in the development of the Noosa
Council capital works framework.
