The report is in response to Condition 5 of Judgement No. 765 of 2020 (3 September 2020) below: 1. Prepare and submit to Council for approval with and Operational Works application a revised acoustic report which includes measures to mitigate noise generated from the shopping centre operations and equipment, including deliveries, truck movements and rubbish collection. This report should consider attenuation at the noise source as well as a noise barrier along the shared boundary of Lots 19 and 21. All measures to mitigate noise must be implemented prior the submission of the subdivision plan to Council. Noise attenuation is required to achieve the following acoustic quality for potential residential uses on Lots 17-19. The measurement location must include receivers being places at the closest point to the future residential and office buildings. Criteria (measured at the receptor) dB(A) Sensitive receptor Time of Day LAeq,adj, Thr! LA1.adj, 1h Daytime and evening (habitable spaces) 35 45 Dwelling (indoors) Night-time (sleeping 30 40 areas) ‘Acoustic descriptor/noise target for continuous noise sources (eg. Mechanical plant). Acoustic descriptor/noise target for transient impacts arising from loading dock activities (e.g. truck movements, reversing alarms, compactor, trolley etc.) The purpose of this assessment is the following: Establish the predicted intrusive noise levels at the proposed subdivision site on Hofmann Road for lots 17-19; and Provide acoustic attenuation recommendations to meet the indoor acoustic criteria set by Condition 5 of Judgement No. 765 of 2020 (3 September 2020). The acoustic attenuation measures, as instructed by Stockwell, include a noise barrier along the boundary to the loading docks but also considers vegetation and the existing 1.2 metre high blockwork barrier separating the Loading dock and Lot 21, as well as other controls as listed in the report.
