This is measured from the top of the existing blockwork wall vertically down towards the ground (distance between the two dashed purple lines). Distance to new barrier: The horizontal gap that is present between the existing blockwork wall barrier and the new barrier. This is measured from the back of blockwork wall to the front of the new existing barrier (distance between the dashed yellow lines). The minimum barrier depth of the barrier shall be equal or more than the distance to the new barrier as defined above, i.e., if the distance to the new barrier is 500mm the barrier depth shall be of length 2500mm.
