APPENDIX E - Architectural Narrative

environment to the northern and eastern facades and on the western façade, to
Peregian Park.
To promote a sense of common ownership and connection to the Peregian community,
the amended design has a more permeable floor plan with greater connectivity to the
public areas outside of the property line.
Tourism
Tourism is paramount to the Noosa region therefore, it is important for this building to
reflect the social and cultural values of the Noosa region to be successful.
To this end, the amended building design incorporates more openings in the ground
floor façade which enable persons to pass through the building rather than shop front
style display windows. This approach further enables the building to be better
connected with the natural surroundings, enhances the visual connections to the wider
environment and promotes the active and social culture of the community.
Supporting this, the amended building design offers a flexibility of tenancy spaces to
encourage a range of social and community activities to promote the cultural identity of
the local community.
It is with great pleasure that we offer this considered scheme to the Noosa Shire Council for
consideration of an amended development approval for the site and that our collective vision
for the site has been adequately expressed with this proposal.
