27th September 2021 RE: MCU21/0154 FRANCIS Rovers – Objection to Small Scale Meat Processing Plant. Dear Noosa Council: In regards to the application above for a small meat processing plant to be approved at 82 Patterson Drive Tinbeerwah, being a local resident I strongly object to this application for the following reasons: 1) This application is incompatible with the Noosa Plan 2020 as it will go against 'rural residential character and amenity of the zone. 2) Environmental Impact due to noise, waste products and increased traffic. 3) There are sufficient commerical properties available to lease that would be suitable for this purpose within the local community. 4) There is in an identified Koala Habitat Area and this activity would be innapropriate. 5) There is a potential for diseases to be transported 'Chronic Wasting Disease' is known to infect Deer and this could have the potential to infect humans, that could have dire consequences for a small community. 6) Odour from the small meat processing plant could affect the quality of life for residents, and impact negatively on the value of the properties. 7) Deer may have been on Crown Land and goes against legislation to kill. I strongly request that you take my objections into consideration. Sincerely Francis Rovers 44 Patterson Drive Tinbeerwah QLD 4563 M: 0407374936 E: [email protected]
