SC3395-SWMP Rev A
Attached to the e-mail OPW15/0134 Application for Operational Works - 60 Hofmann Dr Noosaville.
SC3395-Lot 4 Hofmann Drive, Noosaville 11 4.0 Stormwater Quantity Management The subject site is located adjacent to an environmental wetland reserve. Site inspections of the adjacent stormwater infrastructure within the Hofmann Drive road reserve identified that captured water from the local upstream catchment is directed to this wetland. As the wetland is under the control of a local statutory authority, it is deemed to be the legal point of discharge for the subject site. As such all captured stormwater from the site is proposed to be discharged to the wetland via the overflow outlet from the proposed bio-filtration device. The location of the site relative to the upstream urbanised catchment is at the downstream end of the network and adjacent to the point of discharge. In addition, the time of concentration for the subject site is much less than that of the total catchment area hence relief of the site occurs well before the upstream catchment reaches its peak discharge. With these points being considered, it has been determined that on- site detention would have no beneficial impact to peak flow discharge rates and as such no detention is proposed within the development.
