5. CONCLUSION & REASONS FOR DECISION
The application seeks to use a dwelling house, situated within the Medium Density Residential Zone,
for the purpose of short term accommodation. The key issue associated with the assessment of the
application is the potential for detrimental impacts on the amenity of the surrounding residential
properties. Whilst acknowledging that short term accommodation has the potential to impact on the
amenity of the area the proposed use has been identified as a consistent use within the applicable
zone and an extensive suite of conditions are recommended to address the operation of the use to
preserve the amenity of the area.
