1. Introduction 1.1. Project Details Site Address 58 Rene Street, Noosaville, QLD Local Council Noosa Shire Council (Phone: 07 5329 6500) Planning Application Number To be assigned Development Summary The proposal involves the construction of a two-storey commercial development consisting of a trade hub and warehouse facilities. The development’s summary has been outlined in Tables 1.1 below. Table 1.1 Development summary Level \Naste Source Operational Days/Week Floor Area (m2) Lower floor Trade hub units 5 1,042 Ground floor Warehouse units 7 824 Ground floor Micro warehouse units 7 330 Total 2,196 1.2. Purpose This Waste Management Plan has been prepared to address Council’s comments regarding waste related matters as described below: — For a development of this size the servicing of waste bins on the street is not feasible therefore on-site servicing is required through a proper bin storage compound. The use of bulk bins is recommended. — It is worth noting warehouses generally produce a high litreage of cardboard and general recycling bins would not be sufficient for this bulk bins <1100L allow access to our cardboard service. — Proper swept paths must be provided to allow the collection vehicle to either drive through or have safe turnaround as per the vehicle specifications in the Noosa Plan. If 240/360L bins are required it will be to Side Lift Collection Specs. If 100L bins are required, it will be to Rear Lift Vehicle Specs (Smallest Truck) . If 1.5m3 or greater are required it will be to Front Lift Specs (Largest Truck). 20755W-ROIFO3 58 Rene Street, Noosaville QLD 3

1.3. Limitations Waste management arrangements during the construction and fit-out stages of the development, and on-going operation and monitoring of the waste management arrangements for the development following the occupation of the development are outside the scope of this Waste Management Plan. 1.4. Applicable Standards and References Relevant policies and guidelines considered as part of the preparation of this Waste Management Plan include: — Australian Government - National Waste Policy: Less Waste, More Resources (2018). — EPA Noise Control Guidelines (2021). — Noosa Shire Council - Waste Reduction and Recycling Plan (2016-2024) — Noosa Shire Council - From Waste to Resource Waste Plan (2023-2028) — Moreton Bay Regional Council - General Waste and Recyclable Waste Storage and Collection for Residential and Commercial Developments (2020) 20755W-ROIFO3 58 Rene Street, Noosaville QLD 4

3. Waste Volume Details 3.1. Waste Volume Assessment As Noosa Shire Council has not published specific waste generation rates for commercial developments, this Waste and Recycling Management Plan considers the rates specified within Moreton Bay Regional Council’s ‘General Waste and Recyclable Waste Storage and Collection for Residential and Commercial Developments’ guidelines which specify the following general waste and recycling generation rates relevant to the development: Table 3.1: Waste and Recycling Generation Rates Tne Dewelonment General Waste Generation Rate Recycling Generation Rate ye P (L/100m floor area/week) (L/100m floor area/week) Trade hub (assessed as retail 25 25 shop) Warehouse 50 - To allow for the separation of paper and cardboard from the recycling stream in trade hubs, the above waste generation rate for the trade hubs have been modified to allow for a 50:50 split for recycling and paper & cardboard. To allow for the separation of recyclables and paper and cardboard from the general waste stream in the warehouses, the above waste generation rate for the micro-warehouse and warehouse units have been modified to allow for a 40:40:20 split for general waste, recycling and paper & cardboard. It has been assumed that the warehouse units will be in operation for seven (7) days per week and the trade hubs will be in operation for five (5) days per week. Applying the above waste generation rates, the waste generation estimates are outlined in Tables 3.2 and 3.3 below. 20755W-ROIFO3 58 Rene Street, Noosaville QLD 7
