Xbox/Lounge use, SCU, TAFE, radio station attendance and general public use. Statistic are
down for this quarter (compared to Quarter 1) mainly due to Sunshine Coast University holidays
and The J being closed over the Christmas new year break.

BCC

The main focus for management during the second quarter of 2014 was preparing the BCC Main
Hall for the Noosa Gymnastics Club, who took up a long term lease over the Hall in January
2015, whilst at the same time transferring user groups such as the Chorale, the Jazz Club and
Noosa Table Tennis to more appropriate venues such as The J and Noosa Leisure Centre.

Having a major new anchor tenant will help reposition the BCC and significantly improve its
revenue stream effectively giving it a new lease of life.

3. Staffing

Staff training has been identified for Links booking and point of sale software.

4. Systems & Processes

The ECM pilot at The J is continuing to test the ECM system to determine how it best works for
Community Facilities branch.

Some minor technical issues have occurred with the booking software system since a recent
upgrade. Staff are working with the vendor to assist in solutions to ensure ongoing operational
efficiency.

5. Future Direction

 Completion of The J Service Review and implementation of recommended actions.
 Finalising negotiations and agreements with all major user groups for 2015 at both The J and
