Your proposal will trigger a Code assessable planning application with Council and is assessable against the below Codes of the Noosa Plan 2020. I have attached a factsheet detailing what is required to lodge a ‘properly-made’ application, there is the option to engage a town planner to assist with the lodgement of the application. 

 

It is to be noted that the area of Noosaville has specific design outcomes in relation to eaves, roof pitch and alike, it is recommended that the building be located behind the existing dwelling on site, so it is not viewable from the street, and additional landscaping and/or like is explored to ensure it will not be visible from adjoining premises. 

 

The relevant Codes for assessment are as follows:

Prior to proceeding with plumbing/building approvals a planning approval is to be obtained as this essentially allows the land use, and then subsequent approvals are to be obtained i.e., food license, building and plumbing approval etc. 

 

Once the application is complete (as per factsheet) you can lodge via email to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>  . Please note that the assessment period for planning applications vary and can take 3-4 months for assessment and review pending whether any further information is required for assessment.

Did you receive the 3 attached PDF documents that were attached to the original email? 

 

Thank you for suggesting the fact sheet. I have been using that fact sheet #5 as a guide and also your tool box information on How to start a food business along with the 40 page QLD food act booklet: Design and fit-out guide for food businesses. Lorena is also very helpful and knowledgeable with the regulations.

 

I just received a phone call from a Mr Craig Morley ( sorry if I spelt his name incorrect )in your Plumbing Department, Craig has given me some information as to where to start the application prosses. 

 

My Father is a builder and has just now completed the site plans and internal floor plans and external plans. Below is the address that I am applying to have a home business. 

4 GUM DALE COURT, NOOSAVILLE, 4566. 

I will send the floor plans next week to council Plumbing department.
