Subject: SK BCS 1192 MCU13/0087 Notice of submission Patricia Balderstone From: Patricia Balderstone Date: 2013-10-18T01:22:31+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council The decision on the application by Coles for proposed development on the Noosa Heads Bowls Club site should be defered to such time that it can be considered by the new Noosa Council in 2014. I built a house in Jan St., Noosa Heads in 1979. Jan St is a continuation of Coral Tree Ave, which is almost opposite the Post Office. Two of my children went to school at Sunshine Beach. A neighbour, Pat Brodie built that badly designed IGA,.Target, Irish Murphies building complex managed that building for the first two weeks. My daughter, Vanessa watered the garden. The night before the destruction for the now IGA/Target shopping centre, my small daughters and I went and said,'Goodbye' to the beautiful old banksia trees. So much better could have been done with that site. Inside there are no windows so that it has an opressive feel, the carpark is condusive to dings and for years the truck delivery area was a rat run. On first week it opened,.one of the little boys, who moved in with their skate boards to the underground car park, was trapped in a windowless room that had something to do with the aircon. Thank god, he was with mates. The suction was too strong for them to get him out. They came and looked for me. So what we have now, is not a good building. Pinaroo park, zoning, the needs, the use of space, bush, motorcars, foot traffic have to be got right. This a very important and unique area. It's future must be decided by new Noosa Council. Patricia Balderstone, Sunshine Beacb
