1. INFORMATION RESPONSE:

     1. Coastal Protection.
        (a) The day bed structure has been removed
        (b) Stairwell & gates to fore dune have been removed
        (c) Suitable landscaping area for appropriate coastal beachfront species has been provided.
     2. Roof top terrace
        (a) The entire top storey has been redesigned to greatly reduce the terrace areas to a more
suitable and acceptable size. With limited view to neighbouring properties.
     3. Landscaping & setbacks
        (a) The entire design has been altered to provide a 6m setback to the dwelling portion of the
building. The only encroachment into the 6m setback now is the garage, with a proposed
2.7m setback to the nearest corner of the garage front wall. This allows for adequate front
yard area for landscaping which will soften the visual impact of the reduced setback to
the garage. We believe the amended design provides sufficient landscaping to reduce any
impact of the garage location. It has been noted that there are similar structures within the
immediate area with reduced setbacks from the front boundary, and it is our opinion that
this proposal is justifiably designed to be aesthetically appealing from the streetscape.
