2. SITE DESCRIPTION
The subject land is located on the north end of Kennedys Road at Pomona
approximately 4.29km from the Elm Street, Cooroy intersection.
The land has a frontage of 507.55 metres to an un-formed road along the eastern
boundary, and contains an area of 70.9ha.
The land is generally undulating with several watercourses traversing the property
from south to north. A large dam is located within the eastern portion of the site.
Upon the land stands a house and outbuildings.
Power and telephone services are connected to the site and Kennedys Road is a
good quality gravel rural road.
The eastern half of the property has been cleared and used for sugar cane
production previously and now used for grazing and cultivation. The western half of
the property is heavily vegetated.
A Locality Plan is attached as Appendix A.
3. PROPOSAL
The applicants seek to use the eastern cleared part of the property for aquaculture
production.
