The information requested is set out below:
Issue
Aspects of the landscaping plans do not reflect the natural streetscape vegetation character of Hastings Street, in particular the selection of planting species.
Information Required
Provide amended landscape plans, detailing the substitution of the following 2 plant species;
Plumeria obtuse
Lomandra longifolia
Issue
The submitted landscape plans show the incorporation of a metal tree grate surround partly in Council’s road reserve. In many cases where these metal grates have been used in the past streetscape designs, the maintenance involved when the tree matures and the trunk expands requires the inner metal rings to be reduce on a regular basis over the life of the tree.
Information Required
In order to reduce this ongoing maintenance requirement by Council, provide an amended landscape plan detailing an alternative mulch collar surround which requires a minimum of future maintenance.
Issue
The landscaping plans do not provide sufficient information in regards to a detailed plant species schedule list for purchase and construction purposes.
Information Required
Provide a plant schedule detailing the pot sizes and quantities of all plants in accordance with standard landscaping plans for construction purposes.
Issue
The landscaping plans require detailed instructions for construction of the landscape works
Information Required
Provide amended landscape plans that detail site specific landscape specifications scope of works for the undertaking of the construction of the project.
