3. Details of Submission
I (We), make the following submission:
I object to the granting of approval for the above application on the following grounds –
       1.     The proposal is not consistent with Noosa Town Plan. The land abuts Noosa National Park, contains koala
              habitat, and is designated open space recreational use.
       2.     It's geographical location will impact on ecologically fragile Lake Weyba and Eenie Creek if approved, through
              resultant loss of valued habitat, flora and fauna and will create storm water issues.
       3.     It is situated in a major koala corridor and loss of habitat can only make the koala's future in Noosa more bleak.
       4.     The 90 bed facility with 50+ carparks parks, plus emergency vehicle bay proposes access via the al ready busy
              roundabout on Eenie Creek Road and Walter Hay Drive. This will create further traffic pressures, resulting in the
              need for further infrastructure to cope with such a huge increase in use.
       5.     A nearby site was refused a similar application a number of years ago under the Noosa Plan. The statu quo has
              not changed. There are a number of cleared sites consistent with the town plan available within Noosa's urban
              footprint that could provide the needed additional aged care facilities in Noosa.
