PLANNING & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 26 MAY 2015
The applicants report also segmented the Noosaville industrial area into 3 catchments, shown in
Figure 4 below, using Eumundi Noosa and Eenie Creek Road and suggests the existing take
away food outlets are not conveniently located for workers in the auto-park area because of road
constraints and distances.

The supportable quantity of floor area suggested by Economic Associates can be dispersed
throughout a given area. Economic Associates agree good planning principles support the notion
that Eumundi Noosa Road and distance reduce worker accessibility, and the existing take away
food outlets are not particularly well located for workers in the immediate Lionel Donovan Drive
catchment.
In summary, lack of pedestrian accessibility in the Noosaville industrial area suggests the
proposed ‘tradies café is well located to benefit workers within the auto-park and to an extent the
workers in surrounding industrial area. The level of worker expenditure suggests the proposed
‘tradies café at a reduced scale than proposed, will be sustainable without negatively impacting
on the existing take away food outlets. The use is therefore supported subject to a recommended
condition limiting its size to 90m² GFA and 35m² of outdoor dining area.
