RECOMMENDED ACTIONS
The following summarises recommended mitigations that should be considered for development of
this Site:

         Conduct general UXO education and awareness for personnel working at the Site.
         Develop ‘Safe Working Procedures’ for work undertaken to include, for example:
             o     Restrictions on entry into specific areas (e.g. defining ‘No Go’ areas);
             o     Protocols to ensure that the number of personnel entering or working near UXO areas
                   are kept to the minimum necessary to effectively perform the work;
             o     Definition of safe/unsafe areas, safety distances, ‘Wait Times’, etc;
             o     Actions to be taken if UXO encountered or observed;
             o     Medical Response Plan for UXO-related injuries; and
             o     Reporting and internal investigation requirements.
         Undertake 100% surface visual/detector-assisted UXO search to identify any surface or
          shallow buried EO items.
         Undertake 100% UXO investigation/remediation work of all areas where ground-intrusive
          work is planned
         Review risk assessment(s) as new data from field work comes to hand or when EO items are
          found/reported. Ongoing re-evaluation of risks is a key aspect of an effective risk
          management system.
