Att 3_CMP - Final
1. PURPOSE
This procedure is required to address the management of environmental impacts associated
with drainage impediments and diversion channel developed within the project area.
The measures outlined in this procedure will ensure compliance with local, state and federal
authorities and legislative requirements. They aim to minimum erosion and control
sediment movement on-site using sound environmental methods and procedures.
Potential impacts due to drainage modifications associated with construction activities may
include:
• Changed surface water flows into creeks,
• Contamination of surface water,
• Changed rates of erosion and deposition,
• Increased sediment loading,
• Localised flooding.
This procedure also detailed the physical structures and devices which the control measures
may be compiled, and the circumstances in which they could be used. Detailed regarding the
methods for installation are also included.
The final implementation of erosion and sedimentation controls will be determined by on-
site conditions prior to the commencement of each section or works. As far as practical,
these controls will be implemented before starting any earthworks.

• Vegetation removal,
• Topsoil stripping,
