In relation to our approved RAP21/0043.01, our architect (GAIAxDesign) and Engineer (SCG) have proposed that a new non standard residential crossover be installed to avoid the current scraping issues with the driveway. Due to the steep decent on Seaview Terrace and the corresponding steep accent on the driveway, many cars will encounter nose scrapes when entering and cars with low tow bars scrap when exiting. In addition, given the geometry of the crossover, most cars will encounter flex in chassis and potentially wheel lift on one wheel. We would like this corrected during our planned new dwelling build. The architect believes he can correct the geometry to prevent the scraping and wheel lifting and has proposed a ramped or elevated kerb crossover. Both adjoining property driveways on the high (2 Dolphin Bay Drive) and low side (35 Seaview Tce) have both recently installed raised kerb inverts to elevate the crossover and try to correct for the steep roadway transitional gradients. 1
