Operational Works Report_RosesRd Access 29 April2025
Callaghan & Toth
6.0 CONCLUSION
It is considered that these works be approved for the following reasons:
▪ Works are necessary to provide an access to Lot 2 RP95476, 36 Roses Road.
▪ The works require minimal clearing to achieve a driveway access to the lot.
▪ The works are located in the road reserve of Roses Road.
▪ Koala movements will be discouraged from entering the Old Bruce Highway by the
installation of 20m return on the existing koala fence.
▪ The proposed culvert improves fish passage as follows:
o Maintaining the waterway cross-sectional area.
o The central cell (the link slab) being 300mm lower than the existing bed level, for
low flow scenarios for fish movements.
o Roughening of outer walls of culvert cells and upstream wingwalls as per the
Accepted Development requirements.
▪ The culvert crossing will be overtopped approximately 2 times per year.
▪ Works will take approximately four months to complete.
▪ Clearing has been minimised.
▪ Works will be undertaken in accordance of a Construction EMP to minimise impacts
▪ Works will be undertaken in accordance with an Erosion and Sediment Control Plan
▪ Erosion and Sediment controls proposed will be designed to ensure fish passage is not
restricted for long time periods.
▪ Any bare areas of the works site will be stabilised following completion of works with native
species.
