4.    The Estimated Cost of Implementing the Overall Plan
The estimated cost for carrying out the overall plan is $182,000.


5.    Estimated Time for Implementing the Overall Plan
The estimated time for carrying out the overall plan is twenty (20) years from the base year
2015/16, ending 30 June 2035. It is anticipated that a levy will be made in future years as the
service, facility and activities are an on-going program.


2016/17 ANNUAL IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
The annual implementation plan for the 2016/17 financial year ending 30 June 2017 is to continue
the routine inspection program, undertake a survey of the scour protection profile and then perform
a review of the canal profiles to determine the scope of necessary future works.
Further, in accordance with section 94(5) of the Local Government Regulation, Council will collect
revenue to be used in carrying out other aspects of the overall plan, in particular periodic
maintenance and any remedial works, in future years. This is to ensure that the cost of carrying out
the overall plan is spread evenly over the twenty (20) year period. It is envisaged however, that
sufficient reserve funds are available to fund the plan in 2016/17. As such no revenue is required to
be collected in 2016/17.
The estimated cost of works proposed to be undertaken by Council this financial year is $9,000.
