These findings indicate that the Noosa SA3 region provides a significant proportion of its working
residents with employment opportunities. Those who leave the area for employment are generally
attracted to higher order centres and/or employment opportunities with government and in a public health
institution. On this basis, the identified commercial office catchment area outlined in Map 3.1 for Noosa
Civic is regarded as being an appropriate catchment area for the centre for its role as a commercial office
centre.
