4.3.2.6. Probable Maximum Flood
The PMF event was run for the proposed scenario to identify flood behaviour in this extreme
event and how residents would be able to safely manage this event from their property. The
PMF level across the site ranges from 13.48 to 13.51m AHD, which is approx. 0.4m and 1.0m
higher at the upstream and downstream boundary of the site, respectively. Flood depth
map is provided in Appendix G, noting that an indicative fill envelop has been represented
within the model (with future allotment owners to install required minimum building envelop).
It is proposed that the building envelope and finished floor level of Lots 1 to 7 will be located
above the PMF flood level. From which, if this event was to occur, residents would be able to
seek refuge within their homes until flood waters recede. Lot 8 has flood free access to
Glenridge Road, which is located above the PMF level. If a PMF event were to occur, they
would be able to safely seek refuge on Glenridge Road.
