PLANNING & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 19 AUGUST 2014
Community Awareness and Likelihood of Submissions
The original application was code assessable and not subject to public notification. Subdivision
under The Noosa Plan remains code assessable and this application, therefore, does not raise
concerns with community awareness or submission rights tests under the Act.
Concurrence Agency Views
The applicant referred the application to SARA to seek its assessment of changes to
concurrence agency conditions and the extension to the relevant period. SARA’s response
dated 26 May 2014 states it has no objection to the extension to the currency period.
5. CONCLUSION
The proposed extension to an existing development permit for a rural subdivision granted in 2010
raises some planning concerns because the development would be unlikely to be approved
under current planning provisions. Despite this, the 4 month extension sought is considered
relatively minor and there are grounds in favour of the extension.
