RE: Stormwater Quality Improvement Device Evaluation Protocol (SQIDEP)
.
Stormwater Australia has developed a world-class protocol to evaluate the performance of
proprietary stormwater devices. The protocol is the result of many years of industry engagement
and consultation.
In July 2019, Stormwater Australia opened the SQIDEP applications portal for submissions.
The first application for evaluation was submitted by SPEL.
Stormwater Australia expereinced a minor delay in the assessment of this initial application as
minor adjustments to the governance arrangements were made. In August 2019, Stormwater
Australia annoucned new appointments to the SQIDEP Governance Panel, including the apointment
of Mr Andrew Swindells (BA, LLB, LLM) - experienced Barrister, Sessional member QCAT & CCT,
Former Officer Victoria Mining Warden Court & Executive Officer Crime & Misconduct Commission,
and dispute resolution/mediation expert.
UNforseen delays in the establishment of governance arrangements has resuled in the delayed
assessment of the SPEL application.
We expect the initial application to be processed in the near future. Stormwater Australia regrets
any inconvenience caused. If you have any questions please contact me on the number listed
below.
Sincerely,
Mr Alan Hoban
President & Director, Stormwater Australia
