                                                                                                                                                                                                    This area is mapped as an ‘area that is a
                                                                                                                                                                                                    least concern regional ecosystem’ by the
                                                                                                                                                                                                    Queensland Government Department
                                                                                                                                                                                                    of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy.
                                                                                                                                                                                                    A good majority of this area shall be
                                                                                                                                                                                                    protected, retained and weed species
                                                                                                                                                                                                    removed. Supplemental plantings will be
                                                                                                                                                                                                    from the recognized Remnant Ecosystem
                                                                                                                                                                                                    plant list augmented by fragrant, dense
                                                                                                                                                                                                    and fine leaved shrubs to provide

                                                                                                                                                                                                    plantings will contain no less then 70%
                                                                                                                                                                                                    of less flammable plant species. A list

                                                                                                                                                                                                    Springs RFA17-040. The list has been
                                                                                                                                                                                                    derived from the Regional Ecosystem
                                                                                                                                                                                                    Technical Descriptions (Dept. of Science,
                                                                                                                                                                                                    Information Technology, Innovation and
                                                                                                                                                                                                    the Arts, 2012), for the Regional ecosystem
                                                                                                                                                                                                    12.2.5 or are ubiquitous in coastal
                                                                                                                                                                                                    vegetation communities. on-Juvenile
                                                                                                                                                                                                    Koala Habitat Trees to the north of
                                                                                                                                                                                                    the development are to remain in situ
                                                                                                                                                                                                    with understory planting and maintenance
                                                                                                                                                                                                    to reduce the bushfire risk.
