Subject: SK BCS 1192 MCU13/0087 Notice of submission F Gould From: Francine Gould Date: 2013-10-17T08:38:07+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to object to the proposed development by the Coles Group at Noosa Junction. One reason being that there are enough empty shops in the junction now and we don't need any more. It makes the shopping area unsightly and encourages rubbish and vandalism. The proposed development would surely push up rental prices unnecessarily and it is bad enough that we now have no local hardware store or optometrist to mention two. Also there is the disgraceful attitude that the bowling club is not important enough to warrant staying in their premises, especially when the site was bought as zoned non-commercial. Another reason I object is that we do not need any more raods at the junction especially if a roundabout was to be installed and also taking land from Pinaroo Park should not be on the agenda. Noosa is well known for it's many parks and nature reserves and we should aim to keep as much of those as possible. I feel sure that there are enough shops and retail outlets in the whole Noosa area to accommodate the population including the holiday makers. Give the shop owners a go! There is enough competition. A big new unnecessary complex will only serve to force out the current shop keepers and therefore deny us the local feel we prize so much in Noosa. Yours faithfully, F. Gould. Tarina St, Noosa Heads
