     5.   FUNDING

     (a)  Council will pay funds collected from the Tourism and Economic Development Levy to
          Tourism Noosa, subject to:
         i)     Council maintaining the collection of the Tourism and Economic Development
                Levy annually; and
          ii) | compliance by Tourism Noosa with this Agreement.
     (b)  For the financial year 2017/18, Council will pay to Tourism Noosa the sum of $2,520,000
          exclusive of GST.
     (c)  In each subsequent year of the Agreement the amount payable to Tourism Noosa by
          Council will be no less than the amount paid to Tourism, Noosa in the previous year.
     (d)  Subject to clause 5(a) Council will pay thefunding by half-yearly instalments upon
          receipt of a tax invoice with such payments will be made in the week following the closure
          of Council’s rating discount period.
     (e)  Council shall pay the funding to Tourism Noosa by a)transfer to a bank account as
          notified by Tourism Noosa in»writing to Council;,.with such bank account being in the
          name of Tourism Noosa and solelyunder Tourism Noosa’s control.
     (f)  Prior to 15 March in each year of the»Agreement, Tourism Noosa will make a
          recommendation to.Council in relation to the amount payable to Tourism Noosa by
          Council, as per,clause 5(c), and provide such information as may be reasonably required
          by Council to assess that recommendation including but not limited to Tourism Noosa’s
          proposed annual business plan, proposed detailed budget, and if necessary, detailed
          previous years financial information.

     6.   EVENTS

     (a)  Tourism Noosa will manage all contracts and funding with event organisers for Tourism
          Events and utilise funds provided under this agreement for this purpose.
     (b)  Council will manage funding of Community Events.
     (c)  Council and Tourism Noosa representatives will liaise with each other on events that
          have a dual focus to ensure appropriate funding.
     (d)  Tourism Noosa will ensure that:
          (i)   it includes as a condition of any grant funding provided under paragraph 6(a) that
                the event organiser must obtain an event permit from Council if required for the
                operation of the funded event;
          (ii)  it provides to Council by 31 July each year, a list of events that Tourism Noosa
                intends to provide conditional funding for under paragraph 6 (a) and a list of events
                that Tourism Noosa will otherwise promote; and
