The 2017FY has seen the Waste Section handle the highest number of annual customer service
requests since the formation of the new Noosa Council. Illegal dumping complaints increased
significantly during this period. Interrogation of the statistics show that many illegal dumping
complaints were attributable to complaints received during this year’s Bulk Kerbside Collection
(e.g. waste placed outside someone else’s property, waste being placed out after the collection,
stockpiles of waste on the roadside in country areas, etc.). Additional service requests were also
placed through the ‘Snap Send Solve’ online application.
