Yes, you can leave the lids on plastic bottles, just make sure you empty the
contents first, before placing in recycling. No need to thoroughly rinse
containers, just don't leave any food in them. Following on from ABC TV's
series ‘War on Waste’, here's a great video from Visy that shows what you
can and cant recycle. Further information on Council's website at
