EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This application seeks approval to permit the use of an approved dual occupancy (currently under
construction) for short term accommodation. The application is recommended for refusal as the
proposal would further erode the permanent housing and diversity of housing types in the area and
there is no need for additional accommodation for visitors to the area. The proposal is contrary to
the scheme’s requirements to maintain the area as predominantly home to permanent residents,
and the use is not proposed within a well-established resort or holiday units and has the potential
to impact on the amenity of permanent residents.
