Dear Sir,
I have had first-hand experience of living in the vicinity of broiler farms, at Paterson in NSW. The unpleasant impact of broiler farm operations upon my property was, at times, intolerable. Accordingly I am appalled at suggestions that the majority of Councillors propose to over-ride the decision of the planning staff [ for what good reason?? ]....and approve the broiler 'factory' proposal.   achieving negligible benefit to Cooroy's economy. An approval in the face of so much protest would amount to an irresponsible abandonment of the primary duty of Councillors :   to act in the best interests of its rate-payers.
Clearly, the established 'caretaker convention' must require this proposal to be deferred so as to allow it to be decided by the now-elected new Noosa Council.
