RECOMMENDATION
That Council note the report by the Manager Revenue Services to the Services & Organisation
Committee Meeting dated 10 March 2020 providing an overview of the January 2020 Rate Levy.


REPORT
This report provides Council with a summary of the January 2020 rate levy.

1.                       Levy Summary

Rate notices were issued on 14 January 2020 with a due date of 14 February 2020. The gross
amount of the levy was $39.75 million, which comprised $36.383 million of Council rates and
charges, and $3.367 million for the State Emergency Management Levy. Between July 2019 and
January 2020 the net increase in rateable properties was 102, representing minimal growth of
0.3%.
