There are currently 470 properties that have made an arrangement to pay off their rates balance
in accordance with section 2.5.2 of the Revenue Statement, representing $328,547 of the
outstanding rates and charges.

5. Electronic Rate Notice Delivery
Council continues to encourage residents to register for electronic delivery of their rate notice,
either by e-mail direct to their private email address or delivery to their online banking platform via
BpayView. At the conclusion of the levy period we had 1,010 properties registered for BpayView
and 8,245 properties registered for email delivery, which means that we have just over 29% of all
rate notices now sent electronically. Ongoing efforts are being made to continue to encourage take
up of electronic rate notice delivery.

Finance
There are currently no properties where the outstanding rates and charges are close to the rateable
value of the land, consequently there is no risk of any rates and charges being written off as bad
debts at this time.

Risks & Opportunities
Net rates and charges represent 70% of Council’s total operating revenue. The issuing and
collection of rates revenue is critical in ensuring cash flows are available to fund Council operations.
